Jose Efrain Lozano

Math Resource Center Staff Instructor

Where are you from?

I was born in New Orleans, LA. My parents are both from La Ceiba, Honduras. I have lived there for 6 years as a child before moving back to New Orleans.

How long have you been at Xavier University?

I have been at working at Xavier for 20 months (since Aug. 2017).

What is the best part about working at Xavier University?

Seeing students express their gratitude for the support they have received at the Math Resource Center.

What programs are the most recognized at Xavier University?

The most recognized program at Xavier is the pharmacy program. However, Xavier

is a well-recognized school for its Science programs. That’s why I chose to attend Xavier to prepare for medical school.

Why should someone consider attending Xavier University?

The classes at Xavier are academically challenging in that they force students to think critically. As a result, students are better prepared for post-baccalaureate-level work.

What programs are the most recognized at Xavier University?

Pre-Med and Pharmacy programs.

You can support VIVA NOLA’s mission of connecting communities by donating here. Your support, in any amount, is very appreciated.
